Scala Drama Workshops are loved by our pupils for their diversity.
Our classes are never boring and our children learn all aspects of acting whilst having fun and making friends for life. There is a maximum of 20 children in each class so we personally know each child individually, their personalities and skills. The classes cover a wide range of styles including Theatre and TV techniques, script work, mime, physical and improvisation.
Our tutors are all industry professionals in their own right and each excel in their own particular field bringing a wealth of knowledge and fun to the hour long classes.
Drama Tutors
A TV actress and theatre director is popular with the children for her imaginative sweeping “physical group work” lessons. Her attention to detail, researching amazing music for each piece are a joy to behold.
The children are given free range to be creative and work as a team….parents are often invited in at the end of these classes to see the end result and are amazed it was all created in just one hour.
Liz also has the ability to bring Shakespeare to life for our pupils her “potted plays” with half the class creating the play as it was written and the other half a modern “take” on the tale bring the Bard’s plays to life for our pupils.
The fact that Liz played the head teacher in CBBC’s “Four O Clock Club” and is qualified in stage combat adds to her gravitas in class and all her pupils pay attention!
